1.
The Fulfilled Family (Audio CD Set) by John MacArthur.
This is one of my absolute favorites. John Macarthur provides in depth teaching that focuses on creating a plan for your family that honors God. By creating and implementing this plan, deep contentment and strengthened relationships occur.
My wife and I think this audio teaching set is worth its weight
in gold. Also available in a book
below. |

2.
Shepherding a Child's Heart (DVD set) by Tedd Tripp.
Tedd Tripp's study on parenting is absolutely the best there
is. I know him, he is deeply respected by my mentors, and Chelsea
and I and our good friends continually put this study into practice
in our homes. As parents, we must guide the hearts of our children
to love and worship the true and living God. Tedd shows us how
to look behind our children's behavior and get to the heart
that drives the behavior. Forget the "time-outs" and
counting to three. Get these tools and finally get to the heart
of your children. Be careful-we've nicknamed this study "Shepherding
a Parent's Heart" because it will transform you as much as
it does your children. Chelsea teaches this class at our kids'
school. Also available in a book below. |

Parental Priorities (Audio CD Set) by Alistair Begg
Alistair Begg is one of the finest teachers of biblical truth
you will ever hear. He is a father, a husband, and a great man
of God. His teaching style is winsome and engaging, with a Scottish
accent and passion that makes you sit up and listen! This series
is absolutely wonderful for all parents. You will be deeply grateful
for this solid and very practical guide to raising children. Also
worth it’s weight in gold.. |

The Way of the Master (Book) by Ray Comfort
This is the book that changed my life in 2001. It produced a
revival within my own heart and set me on fire to reach the lost
with the gospel. It comes with a CD called “Hell’s
Best Kept Secret” that will rock you. I wrote the commentary
in the book, have gushed about it for years, and could not give
a stronger recommendation for someone who wants to learn how to
share the gospel with a lost and dying world. This book is what
inspired the award winning, The Way of the Master television
program, which is on 20 different networks and translated into
several languages. It is also a riveting, two hour, live radio
program on Sirius Satellite Network. |

Living the Cross Centered Life (Book) by C.J. Mahaney.
Do you want to live a passionate life for God but find yourself
continually distracted, dissatisfied, or discouraged? As Christians,
the problem is that we don’t keep the main thing the main
thing. We get caught up in the new and sensational quick-fix programs,
when it’s the old, old cross that contains the real answer.
The cross of Christ is the masterpiece of God’s love —where
His wrath is exhausted on the guilty sinner and His transforming
love is demonstrated to the max. I love this book. CJ Mahaney’s
writes with passion and shows us how to keep the cross in full
view, transforming the mundane into the miraculous. |

3.
Maximized Manhood (Book/Workbook) by Dr. Edwin Cole.
I am loving this book and the corresponding workbook. The principles
are easy to grasp and apply. Guys, get it. Girls, get it for your
guy. It change both of you. It’s a powerful set of
instructions on becoming a godly man. There are eight more books
in the series by Dr. Cole, so they’re perfect for a long
term accountability program with other guys. The workbooks (sold
separately) make it personal for each man in his unique situation.
If you stick with the study, and apply the principles, you’ll
be thrilled with the results. One of the most practical “manhood/leadership”
studies I’ve used so far. |

4.
The Fulfilled Family (Book) by John MacArthur
Very similar to the CD’s above,
only in a book. I like the CD’s best, but if you prefer
to read, this book is excellent. This is John MacArthur’s
most in demand study series of all time. It’s no wonder
why. |

5.
Shepherding a Child’s Heart (Book) by Tedd Tripp.
Same content as the DVD’s above, but in book form. Our
own copy of this book is underlined, dog-eared, and highlighted
to the max. If you can afford the DVD and the book, get both.
If I had to choose one, I’d go for the DVD’s. The
most clearly biblical, understandable, and effective parenting
tool we have ever used. Indispensable. |

6.
The MacArthur Study Bible by John MacArthur.
My favorite study Bible…period. Have you ever been confused
by difficult Bible passages? Wonder how it all fits together and
how to apply it’s truths to your life? Then get this study
Bible. It is simply the best. Clear, concise, and thorough comments
by one of the finest Bible teachers alive. |

7.
A Full House of Growing Pains (Book) by Barbara Cameron.
My mom wrote this wonderful memoir. She tells her real life story
of living in Hollywood, raising four kids (including me and my
sister Candace, who played DJ Tanner in Full House), and being
married to an unbelieving husband, with total transparency. A
Full House of Growing Pains isn’t just a book about Hollywood.
It’s about the daily struggles of a woman of faith, of family
life, and of the power of celebrity stardom. Even I couldn’t
put it down! Exciting, inspirational, and faith-building. |
